  2. LorenceThe heart of the new Deore drivetrain is the wide-range speed cassette. It provides the same t cog count as Shimano’s other speed mountain bike cassettes. The exact gearing range is: This cassette incorporates the same Hyperglide+ ramp profiles on the cog tooth for faster shifting under.
  3. Our last single speed bike freewheel spot goes to the ACS Main Drive Single Speed Freewheel. This is simply a basic OEM replacement freewheel that works with a majority of low-torque applications. 5. Apr 09,  · 11 speed cassette on 10 speed hub? So I see with the new release of there is a cassette option that will allow a 11 speed cassette to mount on a 10 speed hub body. This is very interesting as I have a set of deep carbon wheels that are a 10 speed hub and the only way to upgrade them is with a whole new hub so this would be perfect!

  7. Nov 30,  · Campy 10 spd started at mm and went over to the mm std, one reason being that it worked better. Similarly on one bike, I use a 9 spd chain on a 7 spd cluster and it works better than the original. I don't think you will have any problem with the 11 spd chain on a 10 spd cassette.
  8. The old bike had a 5 speed freewheel (I think. The model printed on it is shimano-ug). The new rear hub is a shimano fh-rm30 8 speed freehub. Is it possible to either remove a some of the gears from the cassette and replace them with spacers to make it a 5 speed. Or does a 5 speed cassette exist that could be installed with a few spacers?
